Planth Health Clinic was established at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Akola under National Horticulture Mission in 2012-13 for diagnosis of the disease samples and suggesting remedies. The Plant Health Clinic advise farmers on pests and diseases in the way a health centre does for humans. Farmers come with samples of diseased plants to get the problem identified and to learn what to do about it. It will help to increase their crop yields with less expenditure on expensive pesticides/fungicides increasing their average household income. Plant health clinics will help the farmers of the area to deal with endemic pests and diseases and also help to create an early warning system for those that are spreading.

Mobile Soil Testing Laboratory was established at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Akola under Manav Vikas Misson, 2011-12 for Patur Tehsil as it has lowest Human Development Index. The objectives is to provide On Site soil testing facility at village level. A Sturdy, Well Equipped Mobile Soil Testing Laboratory have a facility of onsite analysis of Soil for chemical properties ex. pH, EC, OC, Available P & Available K, also analyze the soil samples for fruit crop plantation & micro nutrients like Zinc, Ferrous, Copper & Molybdenum. A Mobile Soil Testing Laboratory also analyze the irrigation water samples which are received from the farmers, particularly to check the quality of irrigation source such as, well, river, tube well etc.

A Shadenet is estabilshed by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Akola under National Horticulture Mission in 2013-14. The size of Shadenet Demonstration Unit is 18m X 28m (504 sq.m.t). The major object of this demonstration is to train rural youth and farm women in quality production of offseason vegetables. KVK, Akola is providing regular trainings on erection of shadenet, project proposal preparation, sumbission to NHM, Nursery Managment of vegetables and quality prouduction.

A Project on Processing of Minor Millets has been under implementation at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Akola from the year 2011-12. The project was sponsored by State Department of Agriculture, Government of Maharashtra. The Millet Processing Machinery like De-stoner cum Grader, De-huller, Pulverizer and Flour Shifter has been installed at the KVK, Akola and the processing methodology was demonstrated to the intended as well as interested users.

The project was sponsored by State Department of Agriculture,Government of Maharashtra under RKVY through DSAO. Total 15 Tractor drawn implements are available for custom hiring. Farmers are getting benefit of it. The Main objective of this project is to increase the production and productivity of pulses and oilseed in rainfed area by farm mechanization through custom hiring tractor operated implements.
